Padel came to Montenegro through the Bay of Kotor. The first court was built in Tivat, and the International Padel Federation's World Padel Report 2025 counts 13 courts at 5 clubs nationwide. The Montenegrin Padel Federation (Padel Savez Crne Gore) was founded on 30 May 2023 and has its seat in Tivat. The federation dates its International Padel Federation membership to July 2023, while FIP's own page lists 2024.

The federation runs a national SBBET tournament circuit that feeds a national ranking. Montenegro played its first European Padel Championship in Oslo in June 2024. In September 2024 Luštica Bay hosted the country's first FIP Promotion tournament, which drew 23 pairs (Padel Savez Crne Gore).

Most of the courts are on the coast, many of them at hotels and resorts: in Tivat, at Porto Montenegro and Luštica Bay, and around Budva. Podgorica got its first courts at Padel Titograd in June 2023. A four-court centre opened at Bemax Arena in May 2026 (Sjever CG).

Several resort courts take bookings by phone or at reception rather than online, so it is worth calling ahead in the summer season.
