Padel in Ukraine is only a few years old but growing fast. The first court was built in Zolochiv in 2019, and Kyiv's RSP Kyoto opened in February 2021 as the sport's main base (Ukrainian Padel Federation). The federation was registered in November 2018, started a national ranking in 2021 and gained national sports federation status in 2024. It publishes a register of licensed players.
Growth has continued despite the war. At the first Ukrainian Padel Expo in Kyiv in September 2026, the federation's head said about 200 courts were operating, with more than 350 more on the way, and that player numbers had doubled from about 10,000 to more than 20,000 in a year (Ukrinform). The International Padel Federation's World Padel Report 2025, based on earlier data, counted 65 courts.
Ukrainian teams are also competing abroad. In 2026 the junior team played its first European Championship, and Ukraine finished fifth at the FISU World University Padel Championship.
